PURPOSE:To perform the exchange of a test tube in parallel with the measurement of gamma rays by repeating operations to carry N test tubes for which the measurement of the lapse of time is completed to a prescribed test tube rack and to carry the test tube awaiting for the measurement to a detecting part at every N test tubes. CONSTITUTION:A carrier means (consisting of a vertical movable board 44 to move a pedestal 42 on which N(5) hands 40 to capture the test tube are arranged fixedly, a Y rail 46, and a X rail 48) take out five test tubes numbered 1, 3-9 for which the measurement are completed from a measuring part 30, and carries them to the test tube rack 36-1 located at a test tube return position I. Thence, the carrier means takes out five (out of arranged ten test tubes) test tubes standing by the measurement from the test tube rack 36-2 located at a test tube take-out position II at every other tube, and carries them to the measuring part 30. Those five test tubes are housed in dead space of the five test tubes taken out previously. Such operation is repeated. The measuring part 30 starts the measurement of carried test tubes at every five test tubes sequentially, therefore, the detection of the gamma rays can be performed in parallel with the exchange of the test tube.
