MANUFACTURE OF RESIN OVERLAY PLATE

PURPOSE:To enhance water resistance and antistaining properties and to inexpensively manufacture a resin of good quality by simultaneously laminating an adhesive polyolefinic copolymer resin and a polyolefinic resin to infiltrate them in a nonwoven fabric layer and quenching the impregnated nonwoven fabric layer to form a composite sheet and superposing the composite sheet on a wooden plate on the nonwoven fabric side thereof to bond the same under pressure. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive polyolefinic copolymer resin 3 and a polyolefinic resin 1 are simultaneously extruded to a continuously fed nonwoven fabric 2 from a T-die using a laminator fitter with a two-layer co-extrusion machine 4 to be superposed on the nonwoven fabric 2 so that the resin 3 comes into contact with the nonwoven fabric 2 and pressed by a press roll 5 to allow the resin 3 to penetrate in the nonwoven fabric 2. When cold water is supplied to the surface of the nonwoven fabric by a spray 2, the filament resin of the nonwoven fabric 2 is softened. No internal stress is generated and the generation of a curl can be prevented. A reaction curable adhesive is applied to a wooden plate 10 and the nonwoven fabric layer of the obtained composite sheet is placed on the wooden plate and heated under pressure to obtain a resin overlay wooden plate.
