In a method for autogenous milling of mineral material in a mill with a screen wall, permitting removal of at least three different fractions without the need for a screen wall divided into sections, and thus increased milling material conversion and milling capacity, use is made of screen openings 8 made in the screen wall 7 and a mixed fraction containing all the material fractions with a particle size less than or equal to the largest openings 8 in the screen wall is passed through these openings 8, the mixed fraction is divided in a fractioning device 13 into at least three different material fractions, at least one fine fraction is at all times removed from the fractioning device 13, as well as a coarse fraction and an intermediate fraction, and these two latter fractions are kept separate to permit, when necessary, diversion 38 of the coarse fraction as milling bodies for subsequent milling stages, but are brought together when there is no such need for milling bodies, and together they are led to a device for disintegration to subcritical size in order thereafter to be returned to the mill 1 for renewed milling. <IMAGE> |
