PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to adjust a polarizing face by making stimulated light incident upon plural amplifying optical fibers connected in series. CONSTITUTION:A weakened signal beam 51 made incident from the end face of an optical connector 46 is made incident upon a 1st erbium doped optical fiber 32 through a 1st isolator 48 and a 1st short wavelength interrupting optical interference filter 43. The signal beam 51 made incident upon the fiber 32 is amplified by a 1st pumping light 41 and made incident upon a 2nd erbium doped optical fiber 33 through a wavelength synthesizing prism 34. The amplified signal beam 51 is then amplified by a 2nd pumping light 42 through the fiber 33 and outputted from an optical connector 47 through a 2nd short wavelength interrupting optical interference filter 44 and a 2nd isolator 49. Since the signal beam is amplified in stages, the need for the adjusting work of the polarizing wave is eliminated. |
