摘要 PURPOSE:To make sufficiently low a mean power density in each laser oscillation part and to obtain a high-output laser beam by a method wherein a laser oscillation part is divided into a plurality and with the phase of a laser beam, which is oscillated from each laser oscillation part, shifted, the laser beams, which are respectively oscillated from each laser oscillation part, are led to the same optical path. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams L1 and L2 which are oscillated from first and second laser oscillation parts 1 and 2 are oscillated in a pulse form at a prescribed interval by being modulation-controlled by a modulation signal generating part 19. Accordingly, the mean output of the beams L1 and L2 in the oscillation parts 1 and 2 becomes 1/2 of the highest turnover output. In short, a power density in a first optical resonator 3 of the part 1 and a second optical resonator 12 of the part 2 can approximately be halved. The beams L1 and L2 of a pulse form are alternately oscillated from the parts 1 and 2. The beams L1 and L2 from the parts 1 and 2 are led to the same optical path by a light synthesizing means 27. As a result, the beams L1 and L2 irradiate alternately and continuously a material 29 to be combined. In short, the beams L1 and L2 make the same behavior as that of a continuously oscillated laser beam.
