<p>PURPOSE:To allow a person making reservation operation of a television program or the like not to be reluctant to do it by bringing a read section close to information such as weekday, time or channel number described on a program column of a newspaper or the like to read characters of them and devising the above system to make reception reservation through the operation of a confirmation button or the like. CONSTITUTION:An input section 1 reads such information as weekday 21, reception start times 23, 24, reception end times 25, 26 and a reception channel 26 of a television program column and a CCD 15 or the like converts them into an electric signal. The converted signal is stored once in a storage section 2 via a control section 8 of a signal processing section 16. An identification section 4 compares the data read out of the storage section 2 with the data stored in a 1st memory section 3 to implement character recognition as to whether or not they are matched, the result is stored in the memory section 5 and displayed onto a display section 6. When a 'reservation button' or the like is depressed, the data stored in the 2nd memory section 5 is read to set the program reception reservation.</p> |
