The invention relates to a continuous assembly of sealed envelopes with incorporated internal documents, fan-folded and obtained by the bundling of continuous sheets (1, 2, 3), namely a lower sheet (1) and an upper sheet (3) to constitute the top and bottom sides respectively of the successive envelopes and intermediate sheets to constitute the internal documents, a filing or control strip (4) possibly being provided in addition, whilst at least one (1) of the sheets has an extension (1b) intended to form a return document in the form of a stub, adhesive threads (9, 10, 11) being provided so that at least the sheets (1, 3) forming the envelope are glued together longitudinally but laterally inboard of the said extension, the said assembly furthermore being provided on each of its lateral sides with a longitudinal alignment of drive means located on a marginal zone (13). The assembly according to the invention is noteworthy in that the said extension (1b) forms a support intended to receive, by gluing down, an additional sheet (12) whose height is substantially equal to that of the other sheets in the bundle in order to form a return document having a weight greater than that of the other part (1a) of the sheet (1) provided with the said extension (1b). <IMAGE>
