THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER MOLDING WITH EMBOSSED PATTERN AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To realize a molded product more increased in embossed depth and not lowered in mechanical and physical properties using a specific polymer in place of a vinyl chloride resin by bringing particles composed of the specific polymer into close contact with the inner surface of an embossed pattern transfer mold in the presence of a crosslinking agent in a flowable plastic state to melt the same to form an embossed pattern. CONSTITUTION:Polymer particles each consisting of a crystalline olefin polymer part and a non-crystalline olefin polymer part are brought into close contact with the inner surface of an embossed pattern transfer mold 1 held to a rotary heated state in the presence of a crosslinking agent in a flowable plastic state to be melted. The polymer particles have a mean particle size of 10-800mum and apparent bulk density of 0.2g/ml or more. The polymer particles each consisting of the crystalline olefin polymer part and the non-crystalline olefin polymer part are received in the embossed pattern transfer mold 1 in the presence of the crosslinking agent and the mold is hermetically closed. The mold is heated under rotation by a heater 2 to bring the polymer particles into close contact with the inner surface of the mold in a flowable plastic state to melt the same. Subsequently, the mold is cooled to obtain a thermoplastic elastomer molded product having an embossed pattern.
