Method for bringing sensitive surfaces and films into close contact against a plate, in which the said documents to be brought into contact are placed in a leaktight enclosure consisting of a substantially non-deformable peripheral seal (4) trapped between, on the one hand, a glass plate (5) and, on the other hand, a plate made from a semirigid material (1); the central part of the glass plate is depressed, thereby creating a reduced pressure in the leaktight enclosure, then the semi-rigid plate is depressed with the aid of a suitable implementation device, whilst accentuating the reduced pressure. <IMAGE>
