The present invention consists in a lysine salt novel compound from the 2-(4-FLUOROPHENYL)- ??, (-dihydroxy-5-(1-methyl-ethyl)-3-phenyl-4-[(phenyl amino)carbonyl]-1H-pyrrole-1-heptaneate acid, and a chemical process for the synthesis thereof. The compound is useful for inhibiting the 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl coenzyme-A, thereby inhibiting the cholesterol biosynthesis which is catalysed by the aforementioned enzyme. The invention being useful for treating hypercholesterolemia, hyperlipidemia and osteoporosis disorders.
