The invention relates to an assembly for managing information exchanged between memories. It relates to an apparatus in which an integrated circuit card (C) has a memory (2) which keeps data originating from a second electronic device (6) such as a host computer. The order in which each data element kept in memory (2) is represented by a permutation value which is corrected by correction information kept in advance in the card (C). The second device (6) manages the data with the corrected permutation value. It allows management of the data kept in the card (C) by simple management of the data permutation values. Application to the management of information exchanges carried out with integrated circuit cards.
