PURPOSE: To recover desired minerals with good selectivity so that a higher recovery level is achieved by using alkylated diaryloxide sulfonic acid as a recovering agent for minerals by froth floatation. CONSTITUTION: Alkylated diaryloxide sulfonic acid or alkylated diaryloxide sulfonic acid having its salt more than 20% of which is monosulfone is used when an aqueous slurry containing particulate minerals to be recovered is froth- floated under a condition that this particulate minerals float. This monosulfonic acid or its salts are to be those shown by Formula I (wherein, each R is independently a saturated alkyl group or the like, each of (m) and (n) is independently 0, 1, 2, each M is independently hydrogen, an alkalimetal or the like, each of (x) and (y) is 0 or 1 respectively under a condition of x+y=1). In this way, desirable components can be froth floated with good selectivity even in case of an oxide or a sulfide ore. |
