Appts. for disintegrating and metering out plastic foam pieces (also mixing with other material if required), and partic. scrap material, has a box-like container with open top above a drive system with two endless chains running along the length; a number of angle pieces are attached to these at set intervals so as to run over a base of the container; these scrape the pieces of foam in the container and convey them to the outlet at the end. ADVANTAGE - The appts. is simple, readily transported, and suitable for use at site.
