Pastry, esp. biscuits, which leave a baking oven on a belt conveyor in e.g. eight parallel lines, are transferred to a second belt conveyor at right angles to the first, e.g. to form six parallel lines to be taken to the packaging machine. The transfer is effected by an endless plate conveyor with suction nozzles.
