A concentric ring (4) rotates on a stationary bearing of the spindle (1), and has one or more rotary discs in bearings on its periphery, supporting the carrier (8) for the timber holder (9). The latter is positively coupled by a toothed belt (12) chain etc. to a further fixed disc (13) concentric to the spindle.
