PURPOSE:To obtain stereoscopic view through simplified configuration by projecting each left and right video image on the back of a lenticular lens through polaroid filters whose polarizing directions are different by a right angle. CONSTITUTION:The polaroid filters 5-1,5-2 of different polarizing directions are combined by every one pair with the back of the lenticular lens 2a which is a screen whose focal plane is constituted of a diffusion layer in accordance with one pitch of the lenticular lens 2a, and in contrast to this, the polaroid filters 5-1, 5-2 having the same polarizing directions as the polaroid filters 5-1, 5-2 combined with the lenticular lens 2a are combined with each of two sets of projectors 4-1,4-2 for projecting a left and a right pictures installed behind the lenticular lens 2a. Then, left and right video images are image-formed on each individual point on the screen 2-1. Thus, a low-cost large-screen stereoscopic display device is obtained. |
