The assembly unit has a sleeve-like expanding anchor and an assembly tool for anchoring the anchor flush with the outside surface of the wall. The anchor is provided with a longitudinal bore (4) which tapers towards the front end and has at the rear end an inner thread. At this rear end it also has an expansion (8) for forming a thin-walled sleeve-like section (9) which after the expanding body (3) has been driven in is marked through deformation by a collar (10) formed on the assembly tool. The collar (10) can be conical and the sleeve like section (9) of the anchor can have a V-shaped flange. USE/ADVANTAGE - Visible outside check on correct positioning is now possible.
