The communication aid uses a disc (1) which can be roatted in steps, the front face of the disc (1) marked around its peripheral edge with alphanumeric characters (3), which can be brought into alignment with a viewing window by operation of a manual switch. A secured switch allows the selected character to be transferred to a typewriter. The rotatable disc (1) is indexed via an electric stepping motor (2), the characters arranged in tw oor more concentric rings (4). USE - For severly disabled.
