A bendable grat unit for remote searching, suction and transportation, includes an illumination member and a flexible coating unit which is guided by a grab unit. The grab unit consists of a tubular suction head and a hollow shaft with an inner propellant gas line connected to an ejector head with at least one ejector nozzle. A hemispherical sieve is located below the illumination member. USE/ADVANTAGE - The grab unit, used e.g. in nuclear installations, is efficient and can suck active particles away, into the sieve.
