Aq. paste, contg. lead, is used as active material (I) for filling, esp. for vibration filling of a grid-form lead support (II) of a anode for a lead accumulator, esp. for lead batteries. (II) comprises a plastics-fibre skeleton or a plastics-foam skeleton. (I) contains 86-95 wt.% Pb/PbO, based on the total paste, and has a plastic viscosity of 0.05 to 3 Pas and has a flow limite btween between 5 and 150 Pa. (I) also contains 0.3-8 wt.%, based on the lead oxide content of the paste, of a dispersing agent which is a water-soluble salt of the di- or polyphosphoric acids, or derivs.. ADVANTAGE - Grid is filled with new plaste very uniformly.
