Described is a hot-stamping foil for applying and securing on a substrate, by means of an adhesive film, a patterned film comprising at least one lacquer or resin film. The adhesive film used contains at least one component which cross-links on the substrate, improving the adhesion of the patterned film, cross-linking occurring after application of the patterned film to the substrate.
