The agricultural machine which is mounted on a tractor has equipment mounted on two swinging arms which can be swung to a vertical position in order to reduce the overall width when travelling on a public highway. The movement of the swinging arms is normally controlled by a flow divider valve (6) which delivers hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinders (1,2) which actuate the swinging arms. When it is required to raise only one of the arms when the machine is operating the flow divider valve (6) is by-passed and each hydraulic cylinder (1) or (2) is controlled by a separate valve (11) or (12).
