The connecting-rod (2) is esp. for an IC engine. It has the usual little end and big end (5). On the side of the big end (5) facing away from the small end is a counterweight (11) held apart from the boss (5) on a connecting-counter-rod (10). The size of the counterweight (11) and length of the connecting-counter-rod (10) are selected so that the connecting rod (2) centre of gravity coincides with the centre point (12) of the big end boss (5). The counterweight (1) has side holes (14,15) for fixture-screws (7,8). USE/ADVANTAGE - The oscillating masses are compensated with only a small counterweight.
