A sand storage box for a guardrail is provided to promote the convenience of assemblage and installation and to mass-produce easily by using posts, to improve in appearance, to protect a driver or a passenger from a secondary injury at a vehicle collision and to disperse the load of sand by using a load supporter. The sand storage box for a guardrail comprises: a main body(200) composed of a container formed in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped to keep sandbags in, a cover put on the top of the container by hinges, a knob installed to the center of a front wing of the cover to close or open the cover, and a flange member installed to the front base of the container to fix the main body to guardrails(300,310) stably; and a support(400) composed of a post(410) inserted to a post housing of the main body and extended vertically to support the front of the main body, and a load supporter(430) fixed to the bottom of the post by a fastener(420) and fixed to a fixing projection of the container to support the load added on the rear of the main body. |
