PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful power supply and to obtain a satellite communication equipment which can reduce power consumption by turning on power supply for a modulation/demodulation means corresponding to a channel allocated in accordance with line allocation for itself and turning off power supply for the modulation/demodulation means in accordance with the instruction of line release for itself. CONSTITUTION:Switching means (13-1) to (13-n) 41 which turn on/off power supply from a power source means 6 to corresponding modulation/demodulation means (11-1) to (11-n) 12 in correspondence with respective modulation/ demodulation means (11-1) to (11-n) 12 are provided. The switching means (13-1) to (13-n) 41 turn on power supply for the modulation/demodulation means (11-1) to (11-n) 12 corresponding to the allocated channel in correspondence with line allocation for itself and the switching means (13-1) to (13-n) 41 turn off power supply for the modulation/demodulation means (11-1) to (11-m) 12 corresponding to the channel for which the instruction of the line release is issued in correspondence with the instruction of line release issued to itself. Thus, wasteful power supply can be prevented. |
