RECEPTACLE FOR TRANSMITTING ENERGY

PURPOSE:To make it possible to cool the incident end face of an energy transmitting fiber even when a standardized and inexpensive optical fiber connector is used for a connection part between an optical system and an optical fiber cable by providing a receptacle for connecting the optical fiber connector with a cooling function. CONSTITUTION:A cooling medium leading port 10 is formed on the receptacle 3, and the incident end face of the energy transmitting fiber 7 is cooled by a cooling medium led from the inlet 10. An FC connector 4 connected to the receptacle 3 is constituted of a ferrule 8 and a housing 9 and the fiber 7 is inserted into the inside of the connector 4. Even when the receptacle 3 is connected to an optical fiber cable 5 using a standardized optical fiber connector, the incident end face of the fiber 7 can be cooled.
