PURPOSE:To obtain a sanitary product of oral cavity free from side effects, useful for preventing and treating pyorrhea alveolaris, containing an extracted solution of Artemisia princeps Pampanini. CONSTITUTION:Whole Artemisia princeps Pampanini such as leaf, stem, flower or root in a raw state or dried state is extracted with water or an organic solvent to give an extracted solution and 1-40wt.%, preferably 5-30wt.% calculated as an active ingredient of the extracted solution is properly blended with usually used additives such as abradant, humectant, foaming agent, binder, aroma, sweetener and preservative and prepared to give the objective substance. The substance is usable in the dosage form such as dentifrice, mouth wash, gargling agent or embrocation in the mouth. When the substance is used as a dentifrice for a long period of time, pyorrhea alveolaris hardly will occur and in the case of pyorrhea alveolaris, it will be cured in a short period. |
