PURPOSE:To save a power contract charge and the cost of operation and to reduce the cost of installation of a power source for backup by a system wherein a backup control device detects the beginning of a stop of power supply of a power source in normal service and starts to make the backup power source supply power immediately to the demanding equipment, upon the stop of power supply. CONSTITUTION:When a controller J2 detects 'OFF' of a relay K2 and determines an engine generator A2 in normal service as abnormal, it changes over a contact of a switch F2 from G2 to G41. Moreover, an instruction on operation of an engine generator A3 for backup is given from the controller J2 to J3. When a generated voltage thereof exceeds a rated voltage with passage of a term t3, a relay K3 turns 'ON' and a make of a load is permitted. During a term t3 of delay of power supply from the engine generator A3 for backup to a demanding circuit C2, a power is supplied to the demanding circuit C2 from a battery D1 since a contact of a switch F3 is set at G42, and thereby momentary service interruption is prevented. |
