PURPOSE:To automatically set the optimum machining condition with picture data of a machining state by providing, on the side of the lower surface of a work, a camera for image processing to pick up an image of thermally cut state with laser beam and catching the image of the thermally cut state. CONSTITUTION:A CCD camera 15 which catches the thermally cut part of the work on the lower side of the work and picks up the image of the thermally cut state is provided on the lower surface side of the work. A protective cover 16 is attached to the front of this camera 15. Besides, an image processing device 16 to input an image signal S and to process the image is connected with the camera 15. The image processing device 16 is connected with this NC device 13. The image of the spatter is picked up, processed and discriminated. When the cut state is good, machining is continued but when the burning state is not suitable for cutting, an alarm is outputted, the power is lowered and stopped temporarily. In this way, at the early time when defectives are generated, automatic stopping processing can be performed, consequently, many succeeding defects can be prevented from continuous generation. |
