PURPOSE:To indicate image having patterns including various elaborate pretty color changes by using a microcomputer of 3-state terminals to provide an electronic control function driven by a signal from a clock signal preparing means for controlling direct data transmission between POM, RAM and a device for operating a pinball machine. CONSTITUTION:A signal processing circuit 26 for a pattern indicator reads data recorded in a microcomputer from a RAM 9 according to clock and timing signals sequentially outputted from a process signal preparing circuit 16 by a predetermined sequence to prepare an address for reading pattern data corresponding to the data from a ROM 8 by a reading circuit 28. The read pattern data is transmitted directly to the signal process circuit 26 for the pattern indicator to compound horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals prepared in the process signal preparing circuit 16 and the pattern data transmitted from the ROM 8 and add data recorded in a register function provided in the signal process circuit 26 for the pattern indicator for generating the output to the pattern indicator and indicating a predetermined pattern and color on the pattern indicator.
