PURPOSE:To enhance appearance, the touch and long-term properties while keeping the original hygroscopicity, moisture release properties and moisture permeability of leather by using an ultrafine leather powder reduced in impurity and having a specific particle size. CONSTITUTION:A leather powder-containing film or sheet is constituted of 1 - 90 wt.% of a leather powder with cortex content of 85 wt.% or more, oils and fats content of 2 wt.% or less, the total amount of water extractable Na<+>- and Ca<2+>-ions of 0.5 wt.% or less, and average particle size D50 of 7mum or less and the standard deviation of a particle size of 3mum or less and 99 - 10 wt.% of a synthetic resin. This leather powder-containing film or sheet is constituted as a coating film or laminated to a base material directly or through an adhesive. |
