PURPOSE:To improve cooling effect and miniaturize a device by attaching the heat radiation parts for electric parts requiring cooling concentrically to one part of a protective cover or a housing, and connecting a cooling wind duct. CONSTITUTION:The heat radiating fins 30 and 34 of a rectifier 26 and a regulator 32, which require cooling, and a brush holder 24 are arranged concentrically at one location. This location is selected in the vicinity of the opening 40 of a rear cover 37, and a duct 41 for cooling wind introduction is connected. When an engine is driven, a fan 21 rotates through a pulley 15, a shaft 14, and a rotor 18. Outside cooling wind is introduced from the duct 41 for cooling wind introduction into the opening 40 of a rear cover 37, and cools the fins 30 and 34 and the brush holder 24. Then, the cooling wind passes through the opening 23a and 23b and cools the rotor and the stator, and is discharged form air discharge part 43. Hereby, the part where temperature rise is remarkable, is cooled efficiently, and the whole can be miniaturized. |
