<p>PURPOSE:To easily judge optimum time for exchanging a battery by supplying complementary power for reducing the load of the battery from a complementary power source to a memory card, and displaying the detected voltage state of the battery in the memory card. CONSTITUTION:It is selected by a function selecting switch 7 whether the voltage of a battery 1a is detected or the complementary power is supplied to an IC memory card 1 connected to a receptacle 2. When it is selected to supply the complementary power, the power supply terminal of the card 1 is connected to a complementary power source 5 so that the burden of the battery 1a can be sharply reduced and that the card 1 can be preserved for a much longer time. On the other hand, when it is selected to detect the voltage, the power supply terminal of the card 1 is connected to a built-in battery voltage detection part 3 and the voltage of the battery 1a is detected and displayed by a voltage value display part 4. When the voltage satisfies a reference value according to this display, an operator turns off a memory card selecting switch 8 and the card 1 is taken out from the receptacle 2. When the voltage does not satisfy the reference value, the switch 7 is turned to the power source 5 side and the battery 1a is exchanged.</p> |
