PURPOSE:To obtain a phenol foam having good heat efficiency and improved in fragility and suitable for metal seizing, etc., by irradiating a phenol resin blend having foaming properties with high frequency wave, foaming and curing the blend. CONSTITUTION:A phenol resin blend having foaming properties is irradiated with high frequency wave having 10<5> to 10<12> Hz, especially 10<7> to 10<8>Hz frequency to foam and cure the blend. As necessary, a fiber or cloth is blended into the interior and/or surface of the phenol resin blend or highly water- absorbing resin is mixed into the phenol resin blend or carbons are mixed into the phenol resin blend or these components are combined and then irradiated with high frequency wave to foam and cure the blend. |
