<p>PURPOSE:To easily make external character registration and to smoothly confirm a registered external character by displaying corresponding dots by turning on the light of a display section when a key area is pressed at an odd number of times and turning off the light at an even number of times. CONSTITUTION:A key area press decision means and a number of times decision means which decides whether a key area press is an odd or even number of times are provided. In addition, a turning-on means which is actuated when it is decided that a key press is at an odd number of times and turns on the light of the displaying part below the pressed key area and a turning-off means which is actuated when it is decided that a key press is at an even number of times and turns off the light of the display section are also provided. Moreover, an actual-size character displaying means which is actuated when the light is turned on by the turning-on means or turned off by the turning-off means and turns on or off the light for the dots corresponding to a pressed key area in an actual-size character displaying area on a display screen is provided. Therefore, an external character can be registered extremely easily and a registered external character pattern can be confirmed in its actual size immediately after the external character is registered.</p> |
