PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of rewriting pattern data when RAM is used and reducing the capacity of ROM when it is used by generating several patterns from one basic pattern by means of shifting an address. CONSTITUTION:A RAM part 101 storing pattern data, an address generator 102 generating the address corresponding pattern data to be accessed and a barrel shifter 103 which barrel-shifts pattern data that is read by the generated address are provided. Thus, pattern data which is integer-fold of or a one-to- integer of pattern data stored in the RAM part 101 is outputted by shifting the value of the address generated in the address generator 102. Thus, wasteful time required for rewriting pattern data can be eliminated when RAM is used for storing pattern data and the capacity of ROM can be reduced when it is used. |
