Equipment for actuating jaws, cores or similar parts of press or injection tooling comprises a unit mounted on the tooling and including an actuator rod (18), on which the tooling parts are fitted and which can be moved between active and inactive positions by a pressure medium-operated cylinder (6), the rod being stoppable as required by locking segments (27) which can be moved into a disengaged position and back into their initial position by a locking sleeve, i.e. cylinder (6). The piston (13) of the cylinder (6) simultaneously forms a locking sleeve and has, at one end, an inclined face (15) which cooperates with an inclined face of the locking segments for displacing the segments in the radial direction. ADVANTAGE - The equipment is simple and relatively inexpensive, has small size and provides effective and secure locking at relatively low hydraulic pressure. |
