PURPOSE:To obtain diagnostic information adaptive to a three-dimensional change in an organic texture by calculating blood flow rate, degree of oxygen saturation, etc., and three-dimensional information of the organic texture from endoscopic picture signals obtained by means of an endoscope provided with a means for calculating shape data of objects to be taken and displaying the information of the blood flow rate, etc., on a three-dimensional video by mapping, etc. CONSTITUTION:A picture processing section 6 provided with the first calculating means which calculates the feature amount of an object to be taken from endoscopic picture signals obtained from an observing part through an endoscope 2 provided with a means for calculating shape data and the second calculating means which calculates the three-dimensional shape of the observing part is provided. Then such information amounts as blood flow rate, degree of oxygen saturation, etc., are displayed on a three-dimensional picture produced by the second calculating means by mapping or feature amounts calculated by the first calculating means are displayed on a cross-sectional area by allocation. Therefore, diagnostic information corresponding to a three-dimensional change in a three-dimensional texture can be obtained. |
