PURPOSE:To realize vehicle control near to a manual operation by a driver by reading out road information in a travel direction from the present location of a vehicle, and performing correction in accordance with the road information on a fundamental manipulated variable to control every part of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A navigation system 20 reads out the section map of a travel area from the storage means (for example, CD-ROM) 21 of map information, and displays it on a display (for example, LCD) 22, while, it detects the position of the vehicle from an azimuth sensor 13 and a steering angle sensor 14, and displays it on the map of the display 22 by superimposing. The road information (location information) of the slope of a road, the state of road surface (irregularity), and curve curvature, etc., classified by every point is stored, and it is developed on memory 23 by making access at its own vehicle position, and is used by each controller 30. Thereby, it is possible to perform automatic control for every part of the vehicle with the same human touch operating sense as the driver. |
