The prod. contains at least 20 wt.% calcium chloride, at least 1.5 wt.% potassium chloride, and has a pH value equal to or greater than 7. The calcium chloride is obtd. from the ash formed from burning bio-fuel. The prod. chloride salts are obtd. through reaction between the ash and hydrochloric acid. The product can be in granular form, pellets, or crushed to powder. It contains an excess of alkali so that its pH value exceeds the neutral point. It is dried so that is moisture content is less than 15%. |
