PURPOSE:To correct a read error of each color component by calculating a filter cancelling deterioration based on a point spread function representing the deterioration in a read picture by a read means and using the filter to correct the result of reading. CONSTITUTION:A point spread function calculation means 121 calculates a coefficient of a point spread function representing deterioration in a read picture by a read means 110 for each color component with respect to plural picture elements based on the result of read of plural picture elements on an original 101 by the read means 110. The point spread function is fed to a filter calculation means 131, from which a filter comprising a coefficient corresponding to the coefficient of the point spread function and cancelling the deterioration in the read picture by the read means 110 is calculated. Then the filter of each color component to be calculated and the result of read of the relevant color component by the read means 110 are subject to convolution integration by a correction means 140 and the result is outputted as the result of read of each color component. Thus, the read error of each decomposed color is corrected. |
