PURPOSE:To enhance the plate wear of a printing plate by adding a specific high-polymer chelating agent to the developer. CONSTITUTION:The developer of the planographic printing plate for which a silver complex salt diffusion transfer method is utilized is used by adding the water-soluble high-polymer chelating agent (A) having an acidic group in; the side chain at a prescribed ratio(e.g. 0.2 to 4.0wt.%) to this developer. A styrene/maleic acid copolymer, etc., are usable as the component A. |
