The snow chain can be automatically actuated by a switch during the running of a motor vehicle without stopping the vehicle upon encountering a snowy road in winter seasons. The snow chain includes: an actuation switch (2) disposed on the control panel and connected to a motor (3); a hydraulic unit connected to a hydraulic hose (9); and a hydraulic snow chain body (13) consisting of an inner body (76) and an outer body (78). The inner body (76) includes: an outer holder (77), an automatic hydraulic selector (43), and an actuation cylinder (44). The outer body (78) includes: a cap cylinder (57), a cap actuation rod (60) and a cap spring (62). According to the present invention, the troublesome task of stopping the car and manufally installing snow chains to car wheels on a road is eliminated.
