PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen permeable composite film which prevents vapor and carbon gas in the atmosphere from entering a battery for a long time by graft-polymerizing a monomer of a nonionic polymer with a porous high polymer film by plasma. CONSTITUTION:In order to graft-polymerize a monomer of a nonionic polymer with a porous high polymer film, the porous high polymer film is subjected to plasma radiation with a high frequency output of 10 to 25W in remaining gas of a pressure of 0.05 to 0.2Torr, and then the porous high polymer film which has been subjected to plasma processing is soaked in the monomer solu tion which has been sufficiently deaired or the monomer water solution. By rinsing a composite film in water and drying it after graft is completed, the composite film can be obtained. The composite film allows sufficient oxygen permeability for use in a battery and also an effect for shielding vapor from the atmosphere to be obtained. |
