PURPOSE:To remove any foreign matter such as dust or the like on an objective lens by mounting a disk-shaped cleaning member flocked with brushing bristles on the surface at the mounting position of a disk-shaped recording medium and sweeping the surface of the objective lens by the bristles. CONSTITUTION:For a cleaning member 1, brushing bristles 4a are flocked on the surface of a disk-shaped cleaning base 4. Instead of an optical disk cartridge, this cleaning member 1 is mounted onto a turn table 9. Therefore, since the brushing bristles 4a is made correspondent for covering the moving range of the objective lens 5, the above-mentioned brushing bristles 4a are abutted to a surface 5a of the objective lens 5 even when the objective lens 5 is set at any position. In such a state, a spindle motor 8 is driven at a desired revolving speed selected by operating a sensor 10, and the turn table 9 is rotated. Thus, the surface 5a of the objective lens 5 is swept by the brushing bristles 4a. |
