The wire guidance assembly includes a series of conical rollers mounted for rotation on axes substantially perpendicular to the axis of the drum. The wire guidance assembly is rotated relative to the drum and the surfaces of the conical rollers cause winding of the wire in multi-turn layers commencing at the drum and expanding in circumference outward to a maximum diameter. |
