PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of a photoelectromotive force in an integrated circuit, to prevent a difference in contrast from being generated, and to improve the display quality by fitting an electric insulating light shield member to the integrated circuit previously. CONSTITUTION:The electric insulating flat light shield member 6 of, for example, vinyl chloride is fitted previously to the bare chip 2 of the semiconductor integrated circuit by using an adhesive 26. In this state, the terminal 8 of a liquid crystal element 7 and the bump 3 of the bare chip 2 are connected electrically through an anisotropic conductive adhesive layer 9. Therefore, the integrated circuit is prevented through the operation of the light shield member 6 from being irradiated with natural light and indoor light and no photoelectromotive force is generated in the integrated circuit. Consequently, the contrast of a liquid crystal element does not have a difference owing to the photoelectromotive force and the display quality can be improved. |
