<p>PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the frictional resistance of a material to be worked and a die by allowing a metallic foil to exist together with a lubricant between the material to be worked and an isothermal forging die. CONSTITUTION:A material 3 to be worked is subjected to isothermal forging by using a high frequency heating coil 7 by dies 1, 1. In this case, between the material 3 to be worked and the isothermal forging dies 1, 1, a metallic foil 5 is allowed to exist together with a lubricant 4. On both faces of one piece of metallic foil, a lubricant is allowed to exist. Also, between the material to be worked and the die, two pieces or more of metallic foils are interposed together with a lubricant, and also, between each metallic foil, boric acid compound glass may be interposed as a lubricant. In such a way, a service life of the die can be extended.</p> |
