PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance having high quality and free from characteristic raw smell of blood by subjecting raw erythrocyte to precision filtration before decomposing hemoglobin in the erythrocyte with a proteinase, thereby removing the material causing the raw smell originated from the raw blood. CONSTITUTION:Raw erythrocyte is subjected to precision filtration preferably by cross-flow process using a hollow fiber membrane, etc., and the hemoglobin in the erythrocyte is treated with a proteinase. The objective substance can be obtained by removing hemoglobin peptide from the treated product. The precision filtration of raw erythrocyte is usually carried out by adding 1-3 times amount of water and it is preferable to improve the filtration speed by adjusting the pH of the erythrocyte to 5-5.5 with citric acid, etc. The pore diameter of the filtration membrane is 0.1-0.25mum. |
