<p>PURPOSE:To enlarge output by connecting first and second batteries in series when the rotational speed of an engine is below a specified value, and connecting them in parallel when the speed is above the specified value. CONSTITUTION:When the engine is driven at a rotational speed below a specified value, a current is supplied to the field winding 13 from the first and second batteries 3 and 4 connected in series, while the current from the second battery 4 or a generator 1 is supplied to electric load 7. Accordingly, in the case that the electric load 7 requires a large current, the large current can be supplied to the field winding 13, whereby the output of the generator can be raised and enough currents can be supplied to this electric load 7. When the speed is above the specified value, the voltages of the first and second batteries 3 and 4 connected in parallel are applied to the field winding 13. At this time, the engine speed is high, and even with the voltage of one battery, the generator 1 generates enough output. Hereby, the output of the generator 1 can be raised.</p> |
